Friday Coloring Challenge - The Outlawz

Hi again!  I'm back, as promised, with my DT post for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  Our theme for this final week of the month is, as always, "anything goes" with the option to add a Christmas twist.  The twist is entirely optional, but you must have a hand-colored image somewhere on your project to enter.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Basic Black and the pretty holiday patterned paper is from the Simple Stories DIY Christmas 6x6 pad.  The fun image is Christmas Quartet by Regan Kubecek from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I colored it all with my Copics.  I added a bit of Red and Gold Stickles to the stars and ornaments on the tree.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I didn't add any other embellishments.  I wanted to let the scene take center stage and I also wanted to keep this flat for easy mailing when the time comes.

Here is a closer view of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Friday Coloring Challenge and check out the beautiful projects that my teammies created!  We hope you will play along!  It's the last week this month to get in on the chance for the awesome prize offered by our wonderful sponsor, Sweet Pea Stamps.  The winner will get to choose their favorite three digis from the Sweet Pea Stamps online store.  Don't miss out!

I am entering my card in these challenges:
Craft Your Passion #272 (anything goes)
Crafting From the Heart #70 (anything goes)
Through the Craftroom Door Challenge (anything goes)
Creative Fingers Challenge #88 (anything goes)
One Sweet Challenge (Christmas in July)
Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans FB Progressive Challenge Part 1(anything SPS goes)

Have a great weekend and see you soon!

Little Miss Muffet - Special Post

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you had a great week and you have fun plans for the weekend! We are still having very hot and humid weather here, so most of the weekend's activities will likely be indoors in the AC!  I am here this morning with a very special post.  Today the Little Misses are coming together to support a very special young lady. Cassandra is the 11-year-old daughter of Barbara, owner of, and illustrator for, Little Miss Muffet Stamps.   Barbara has shared about Cassandra on the Little Miss Muffet blog today, so be sure to stop by to read her touching story.

Cassandra was born deaf.  She currently attends public school, but because of her diminished hearing, she often has difficulty understanding everything that is going on around her in a busy classroom.  Cassandra has asked for the school to provide her with real-time captioning (RTC).  RTC is where a captionist would type what is spoken in class and display it on a tablet so Cassandra could read the information she may have missed.  Without it, she struggles every day to try and guess at the meaning of half-heard words and sentences.  So far, she has been denied access to this valuable resource.

Our special event today is to raise awareness and spread the word about Cassandra's request.  You can read more about her story HERE and you can also sign the petition to grant her access to RTC HERE.  For each signature on the petition, the school administrators receive an e-mail regarding the request.  We want to help Barbara fill their inboxes!

To support the petition and Cassandra, Little Miss Muffet Stamps has released a dozen new images.  One of these images, Polka Dot Pals Rosalie, will be available as a freebie in the Little Miss Muffet store.  You won't want to miss out on that! Most importantly, we want to spread the word and get lots of support for Cassandra! We hope you can help.

Now for my card for Cassandra:

My card base and mats are SU Rose Red and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Plum Seed collection.  The adorable new image is Jr. Hatter Millie.  I have colored her with my Copics. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  The banner was created with the Party Banner Metal Die from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  A couple of wooden butterflies and a Wild Orchid Crafts daisy finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet blog and read all about Cassandra and check out the gorgeous projects from the rest of the Little Misses!  Don't forget to pop over to the store and pick up your freebie and most importantly, please sign the petition to help Cassandra get RTC.

One last thing, if you wish to send words of support and encouragement directly to Cassandra, you can send to this address:

Have a great day!  I will be back a little later with my card for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge.

Friday Coloring Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you had a great weekend and you have fun plans for the weekend!  Our neighborhood is having a concert event tomorrow night that should be really fun assuming the weather isn't stormy like it's been all week.  I have my fingers crossed.  Before starting a busy day, I am popping in with my DT card for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "dance", in honor of National Dance Day, which is tomorrow.  Anything to do with dance will work, but you must have a hand-colored image somewhere on your project to enter.

Here is my dance card:

My card base and mats are GKD Black Onyx and the patterned papers are from the Prima Melody 6x6 pad.  The fun image is Tap Dancing Stevie from Make it Crafty.  I colored him with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A little rhinestone tie pin and a bit more bling down the side finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Friday Coloring Challenge and check out the fab dance cards from my talented teammies, Karen, Vannessa, Penny and Kathi.  We hope you will play along!  For the month of July, we are thrilled to be sponsored by Sweet Pea Stamps, who are offering the lucky winner 3 digis of their choice from the Sweet Pea Stamps online store.  Check out all the gorgeous artwork they carry!

Little Miss Muffet - Inspiration Thursday

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope you're having a good week so far.  It's still super hot and humid here.  We did get a little rain last night, but it didn't really cool things down much.  Hopefully there will be a break in the action soon.  Before heading out for a busy day, I am here with my Little Miss Muffet DT card.  It's Inspiration Thursday this week, so as always, the Little Misses will have lots of inspiration for you over in the Little Miss Muffet Facebook group.  Be sure to stop by and check it out!

Here is my card:

Now here's something you don't see too often from me - a CAS design with no patterned paper to be found!  This beautiful image doesn't need anything else, in my opinion.  It is Dragonfly Floral from DoveArt Studiosavailable from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  The detailing of these images by Jennifer Dove is amazing and it makes them a delight to color.   I colored this with my Copics.  I added some Star Dust Stickles to the dragonfly for just a touch of shimmer.  The sentiment is from an old set from Gina K. Designs.  A simple black mat to set off the image and that was it.

Here is a closer view of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet Facebook group and check out the Thursday Inspiration from the rest of the Little Misses.  Don't forget about our "anything goes" challenge over on the blog.  You still have until Tuesday, July 28th to enter.

Through the Craftroom Door Challenge (anything goes)

Friday Coloring Challenge - On Monday

Good morning!  Happy Monday! Hope you had a nice weekend and your week is off to a great start!  It continues to be super hot and humid here with lots of storms popping up.  I am looking forward to a little break in this weather, but it might be awhile yet since this week is still supposed to be very hot.  I am here with my DT card for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  It's not lost on me that this is now Monday and I am late with my post! I had limited internet access over the past few days, so I gave up and took a forced break from the computer.  Luckily I could still check my e-mail on my phone, but that's all I did.  The theme for this week's challenge is a color inspiration.  You don't have to have an exact match to the colors, but we would like to be able to recognize the overall color palette.  You must still have a hand-colored image somewhere on your project to enter.

Here is the color inspiration photo:

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Night of Navy and the patterned papers are from the Little Yellow Bicycle Just Because 6x6 pad.  The sweet image is Spring Flowers by Conie Fong from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is an old one from Raindrop Echo that was previously available at Whimsy Stamps and was offered as a freebie a couple of years ago.  I fancy diecut frame and a triple-loop taffeta bow and button finished my card.

Little Miss Muffet Challenge #116

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope you are having a good week so far!  Boy, oh boy, has it been hot here!  Very humid, too.  Even the thunderstorms that have rolled through haven't cooled anything down at all.  I am definitely thankful for air conditioning right now!  Anyway, I am here today with my DT card for the new challenge on the Little Miss Muffet blog.  The theme this time is "anything goes", so it should be super easy for you to join us!  We hope that you will!

Here is my card:

This is about as CAS a design as you will ever see from me!  Of course, I did need at least a bit of patterned paper!  The paper is from the Kaisercraft Chapter One 6.5 x 6.5 pad.  The fun image is another one of the new Honeycloud Band digis by Pollycraft from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  This is Luna Bitterfrost Guitars Rock.  I colored her with my Copics, of course.  The sentiment is computer-generated.  A fancy diecut frame and a few sparkly blue/green gems finished my card.

My card base and mats are GKD Dark Brown and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey Bittersweet collection.  The yummy tray of chocolates was created by merging lots of images from the Tea Party Food Combo and Tea Party Trays Combo from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  Both of these digi sets are retired now, but I just had to use them anyway for today's challenge!  I colored everything with my Copics and drizzled on a little "icing" with my Ice White and Rose Pearl Pens.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.
