Friday Coloring Challenge - The Outlawz

Hi there!  I'm back with a second late post to share my DT card for this week's Friday Coloring Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme for this first challenge in August is "Friendship", in honor of National Friendship Day, which is on Sunday.  We want to see something friendship-oriented and you can now use any coloring medium you'd like.  Please remember that you must still have a colored image on your project.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Rich Razzleberry and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist "Happy Go Lucky" 6x6 pad.  The beautiful image is There For You from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored it with my Copics.  The sentiment is from A Piece of Heart.  Sharon generously shared it as a Friday Freebie here.  The rest of the sentiment, which is on the inside, reads "that's because the best is already mine".  A dotted bow and a few flowers from my stash finished my card.

Elisabeth Bell's World July/August Challenge

Hi again!  I'm back, as promised, with my DT card for this month's Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge!  The theme this time is "for the boys".  You can make anything you'd like with a masculine theme, but you must use an Elisabeth Bell stamp (any company).   This came at a perfect time for me because I actually needed a birthday card for a little boy.  This one has already gone out to little Danny Nickerson, who turned 6 today.  Danny is from my hometown in MA and is battling a rare form of brain cancer.  There's been a huge outreach in the community to get lots of cards to Danny for his birthday and the response has been truly overwhelming!  You can read about it here.

Anyway, here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Real Red and the party-themed patterned paper is from the We R Memory Keepers Hip Hip Hooray collection.  The cute image is Party Present by Elisabeth Bell for Sweet Pea Stamps.  I stamped it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.   The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  Some polka dot ribbon, a couple of epoxy balloon stickers and a few buttons finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge blog and check out the wonderful projects from the Digi Bells, GDT and our Guest Designer for the challenge, Linda!  We hope you will play along!  You have until August 22nd to enter your project for a chance at a great prize from Polkadoodles.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Seize the Birthday (birthday, optional topping: string or twine)
613 Avenue Create #81 (anything goes/party theme)

Enjoy your day and see you soon!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Mossy Meadow and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Christmas 6x6 pad.  The beautiful image is Mistletoe Kiss from Delicious Doodles.  It is also available from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few pearls and a sparkly Christmas tree sticker finished my card.

Dancing Fairy

Hello again!  I'm back with a super quick post to share a fun card I was working on and managed to finish up.  This one was just for fun and coloring practice, something I don't get to do very often.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned paper is from the Prima Fairy Flora 6x6 pad.  The whimsical image is Dancing Floral Fairy from Make it Crafty.  She's one of a series of three pretty floral fairies with some extras, too.  I printed her on MiC blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I've been trying to practice my creases and folds at every opportunity.  I struggled with this one a little, but I am going to go back over some of the lessons in Zoe's Techniques Behind My Creases and Folds eBook and see if I can refine this a bit for next time. I added a little white dot detail to her hair with my Sharpie White Paint Pen.  I also added a dotted background in pale pastels with my Copics. A few gems and some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers finished my simple card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: RV10, R81, R83, R85, R89
Greens: YG01, YG03, YG25, YG17, YG67, G94
Wings: BG10, BG45, BG53, BG57

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out the Make it Crafty Facebook page for lots of inspiration, encouragement and fun chat!  You'll always have a heads-up on new releases, specials and friendly challenges!  And don't forget about the new photo gallery over at the MiC store!  Be sure to enter all your MiC projects there. It's simple to do and your project might just be picked for the Feature Gallery!

Have a great day and see you soon!

Here is the color inspiration from Design Seeds:
