Guylou's Inimitability - Off Color Creation

Hi again!  Happy "very early" Friday!  I plan to be asleep when you see this!  I'm back to share my DT card for the new challenge at Guylou's Inimitability.  Chana is our wonderful hostess this week and she is challenging us to make an "off color creation".  She wants to see the colors blue, gray and orange and for us to also use a humorous sentiment.  Wow, this was a toughy for me!

Here are the challenge details:
Challenge Deadline:
You have until 10:00 PM (EDT) on February 14th to link your project to the Inlinkz at the end of the challenge post.
How to participate:
You may enter only ONE project per challenge, but if you use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp, your project will count for two entries.  If you don't have one of Guylou's digistamps, you can check the online store where several freebies are available.
Challenge Prizes:
A winner will be selected randomly and will win:
1. A $10.00 gift certificate from Guylou's online store
2. An invitation to be a Guest Designer on one of our upcoming challenges
Our Guest Designer for this challenge is: Lilia
Lilia was the winner of our recent Twisted Christmas challenge and was invited to join us this week. Check out Lilia's wonderful project on Guylou's Inimitability Blog.

Here is my card:

I had a tough time with this color combo and as you know, I'm not all that humorous either!  Anyway, my card base and mats are SU Baja Breeze and the patterned paper is from my ancient stash.  Some of it is from the Basic Grey Marrakech 6x6 pad and the orange is from my scrap bag.  My fun image is Miguel is Fishing 2 from Guylou's Inimitability.  He is one of the newest images in Guylou's store.  I printed him on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored him with my Copics.  I added a bit of Orange and Aqua Stickles to the fish and a touch of Letraset Silver Metallic Marker to the metal parts of the fishing rod.  The "humorous" sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the Life is Short set in Paulette's store here.  A few gray pearls in the corners finished my card.

Here is a close-up of Miguel:

Thanks for stopping by!  Please visit the Guylou's Inimitability blog and check out the fantastic creations from the rest of the DT and our Guest Designer, Lilia.  We hope you will play along for a chance to win a store GC and a guest designer spot.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

  7. Hi, Carla! Great job with the colors! Well, sometimes we all just have to step outside and work with stuff that is different. Fortunately, I have teammates who can rise to any occasion, and I know this to be TRUE. The proof is that everybody created fabulous cards and used the "Off Colors" in wonderful ways! I also had fun laughing at the sentiments.
