Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you had a good week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  It's a long weekend for Labor Day for us in the US.  It's always nice to have a little extra time off!  Before getting on with the day, I'm here to post my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz site. The theme this week is "anything goes", but, as always, for the last week of the month, we offer a calendar page template that you may use for the challenge if you wish.  It is absolutely OPTIONAL, but for those that have been been collecting the calendar pages all year, the template is available in the challenge thread.

Here is my card:

I used SU Taken With Teal cardstock for my base and mats and I layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Six By Six A Mother's Love and Everyday Flair 6x6 paper pads.  My cute image is Lotus Sitting Pretty from Guylou's Inimitability.  You can find her in Guylou's store here.  She was also generously provided by Guylou as a freebie to subscribers of the on-line craft magazine, Through The Craftroom Door.  If you haven't done so already, you must check out this fabulous magazine!  Every issue is packed with crafty goodness and freebies that are only available to subscribers.  I printed Lotus on X-Press It and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles to the all of the flowers and her shoes and belt.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I didn't add any embellishments so Lotus could take center stage.

Here is a close up:

My card is also for Papertake Weekly #78, which was to use any sketch from a previous PW challenge.  I chose Sketch #68.  It is also for Charisma Cardz Challenge #34 (no embellishments) and Simon Says Stamp (anything goes).

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fab creations from the rest of the DT and our awesome Guest Designer for August, Tabbatha.  This is your last chance to be in the running for a $10 GC from Guylou's Inimitability.  Guylou has been our generous sponsor for all the August Challenges.  There are also fantastic monthly prizes up for grabs when you enter any of the challenges at The Outlawz!

Have a great day and weekend and see you soon!

You're So Cool

Hi!  Happy Thursday! Hope you are having a good day! We are getting some rain today from the aftermath of Isaac, but it's nothing to speak of.  Just another rainy day.  I'm here to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  It is for Kenny K.'s Krafty Krew Challenge #108 (anything goes), Incy Wincy Designs (for a boy), Sweet Sketch Wednesday # 169 (sketch), Cute Card Thursday #232 (stitching) and The Squirrel and The Fox Challenge #25 (one for the men).

Here is SSW-169:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I used SU Not Quite Quite Navy for my base and sketch panels and layered with patterned papers from the Authentique Loyal 6x6 pad.  I machine-stitched around the border and sketch panels.  My cool image is Teen Idol from Kenny K.  I printed him on X-Press It and colored with my Copics. Despite buying a few new markers, the Es (especially E25 and E29) are still giving me trouble, so I guess it's time to switch papers.  I highlighted the MP3 player, earphones and the grommets on his boots with a Letraset Silver Metallic marker.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the Stuff Happens set in Paulette's store here.  Some grosgrain ribbon and a button stitched with Baker's Twine finished my card.

Here is a close-up:

Thanks for stopping by!  It's been a busy week, but I'm planning to spend some time this afternoon visiting your blogs.  I know I've missed a lot.

Enjoy the rest of the day!

Diva

Hi there!  Are you having a good Wednesday?  Only two days until the weekend - gotta love that!  We are so fortunate to not have had any real effects of Isaac here.  We haven't had any of the wind and rain that was expected.  I am very grateful for that.  Hope everyone who is in the path of the storm is staying safe.

I am popping in to share a card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  It is for Jackson's Digital Expressions #20 (anything goes with an optional sketch), Craft Your Passion #125 (emboss it), Through The Craftroom Door Challenge #33 (diva or anything goes) and Tuesday Throwdown #113 (bold or rarely used colors).

Here is the JDE sketch, which I did use:

Here is my card:

I used SU Brilliant Blue cardstock for my base and mats.  Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a big fan of bright, bold colors and I rarely use them.  And look, NO patterned paper!  I actually can't remember the last time I made a card with no PP!  Instead, I embossed two panels of white cardstock, one with the Cuttlebug Kassie's Brocade folder and the other with a Sizzix folder called Damask.  My elegant image is Diva from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.  You can find it in the Females section of Robert's store here.  I printed her on X-Press It and colored her with my Copics (dress: B28, B26, B24, B21) I added Star Dust Stickles to her wrap to make it sparkle.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC. It is part of the Glitter and Glam Digi Stamp set in Paulette's store here.  A double-loop satin bow and a Webster's Pages Sparkler finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your day and hope to see you soon!Photobucket

Relish Small Pleasures

Hi there!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week is off to a good start!  Sorry I've been MIA the last few days.  I've had a lot going on, but I'm trying to get back in the swing of things.  It's already raining cats and dogs here and we are only on the outer edges of the storm.  I hope everyone in a more direct path of Isaac stays safe.  I'm popping in to share the card I made for Saturated Canary Challenge #24. The challenge was to make a card inspired by this inspiration photo:

I used the Sketch Saturday #222 sketch for my layout:

Here is my card:

I used GKD Passion Pink cardstock (I know, very bright for me) and layered with two patterned papers from the Webster's Pages Sunday Picnic Petite Papers pack.  I merged two images, Picnic from Saturated Canary and Bicycle from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I printed the merged image on X-Press It and colored with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some hot pink ruffled satin ribbon from one of my Webster's Pages Trim Cards and a few aqua gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close up of the image:

My card is also for the current Whoopsi Daisy Challenge (use two patterned papers).

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to be back soon with a few projects I'm trying to complete.

Have a good day!

Somebody Has To Be Cutest

Hi there!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend if off to a great start!  I've got quite a bit to do today, but I took a break to share the card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  First it's for Mo's DP2 Challenge #149 (distressing).  It is also for Seems A Little Sketchy #20, Cute Card Thursday #31 (bling it up) and Charisma Cardz #33 (lace).

Here is SALS-20:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Soft Sky and layered the sketch panels with patterned papers from the Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings 6.5x6.5 pad.  My cutie Mo's image is Ella In Trouble (redux).  You can find her in Mo's store here.  I printed her on Fabriano Aquarello Hot Pressed watercolor paper and for the very first time ever, I tried coloring with Distress Inks.  Perfect for a "distressing" challenge!  I obviously need a lot of practice, but it was a fun change from coloring with my Copics, I have to say.  I added some Stickles to her hair ornaments and some Liquid Pearls to her pearls and bracelet.  I added a few silver accents with a Letraset Metallic Marker.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Distress Ink Colors:
Skin: Antique Linen, Tattered Rose
Hair: Vintage Photo, Scattered Straw, Antique Linen
Clothes: Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Tumbled Glass, Bundled Sage
Handbag and accessories: Scattered Straw, Antique Linen, Tattered Rose Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood

The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I changed its location on the sketch from lower to upper right. Some ivory lace and some iridescent pink gems finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your day and hope to see you again soon!

Vacation

Hi again!  I'm back with another card I created for this week's challenge at Jackson's Digital Expressions.  The theme is anything goes and the optional twist is to use "inks and such".  My card is also for Friday Sketch Challenge #24.  I'm slowly making my way through the projects I wanted to do!

Here is FS-24:

Here is my card:

I used SU Soft Sky cardstock and layered with patterned papers from the Webster's Pages In Love/Palm Beach/Game On Petite Papers pack.  My fun image is Vacation Time from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.  You can find her in the Females section of Robert's store here.  I printed her on X-Press It and colored her with my Copics.  I sponged a few clouds in the background.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A double-loop bow of Pear Pizzazz seam binding finished my card.

Here is a close-up:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I always appreciate your visits and kind comments!

Have a great weekend!  See you soon!

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Are you ready for the weekend?  I know I am.  We've got just a little way to go so before getting on with the day, I'm here to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz.  The theme this week is "back to school (or other school-related).  Very appropriate in my neck of the woods since school started on Monday and the buses have been rolling though the neighborhood all week.

Here is my card:

I started with SU Buckaroo Blue and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Oxford collection.  My cute school image is Joel from Guylou's Inimitability.  You can find him in Guylou's store here.  I printed him on Copic X-Press It and colored him with my Copics.  I added some number and letter stickers from my stash, as well as a stack of books sticker  from The Paper House.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A ribbon and button finished up my card.

Here is a close-up of Joel:

My card is also for Through The Craftroom Door Challenge #32 (back to school), Craft Your Passion Challenge# 124 (use 3 of something - I used 3 numbers and three letters), Basic Grey Challenges #75 (anything goes), Simon Says Stamp (back to school) and Oozak Challenge #5 (fall theme).

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge forum and check out the fantastic creations from the rest of the DT and our wonderful Guest Designer for August, Tabbatha!  This month our challenges have been generously sponsored by Guylou at Guylou's Inimitability!  Guylou is offering a $10 GC to her on-line store to one randomly-selected participant in our August challenges.

A Little Sassy

Hi again.  I'm back with a second post today because after I got home, I was able to finish another card I had in the works.  This one is for the Kenny K. Krafty Krew Challenge #107 - get sketchy.  It is also this week's Divas by Design Challenge #49 (anything goes).

Here is the KKKK sketch:

Here is my card:

I used SU Not Quite Navy cardstock and layered the sketch panels with patterned papers from the Authentique Loyal 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Freshman from Kenny K.  I printed her on Copic X-Press-It and colored her with my Copics.  Some of my E markers are still misbehaving, so I am waiting for replacements. They should be here tomorrow.  I hope that fixes my blending issues.  I added a bit of Star Dust Stickles to the white trim on her top and Lime Green Stickles to her necklace and bracelet.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the A Day In The Life Word Art set in Paulette's store here.  A few green pearls from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I will be back tomorrow with my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz.

Brighten Your Day

Hi again!  I'm trying to make up for lost time so I have another post tonight to share the card I made for Little Miss Muffet Challenge #41.  The theme this time was to use scallops.

Here is my card:

I made a tent card.  I've never done one before but I recently received the most adorable tent card from my dear friend, JoAnn. I studied her construction and tried to make one of my own.  It was hard to get a good photo and I forgot to take a shot of the inside, but I hope you can see the window and 3D design.  The card base is GKD Heavy Base Weight White.  I layered the inside and outside with patterned papers from the Kaisercraft Fine & Sunny 6.5x6.5 pad.  My adorable image is Licorice from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I have her as a digi, but she is only available as a rubber stamp now.  You can find her in the Little Miss Muffet Stamps shop here.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It and colored with my Copics.  I cut her out and placed her to float in the scalloped circle window.  The grasses were were punched from SU Pear Pizzazz with a Fiskars punch.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I cut a couple of clouds from another patterned paper in my scrap bag and layered and popped them up.  I added Liquid Pearls to the scalloped frame to finish my card.

Here is a close-up of Licorice:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I'm slowly making my way through your blogs so if I haven't visited yet, I'll be by soon.

Enjoy the rest of your evening and see you again soon!

My card is also for Sketch Saturday #221 and Stamptacular Sunday #177 (let's hear it for the girls).

Here is SS-221:

Here is my card:

I started with SU Pool Party cardstock and layered the sketch panels with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two Mabel 6x6 pad.   My "friends" image is There For You from Mo's Digital Pencil.  You can find it in Mo's store here.  I printed it on Copic X-Press It and colored with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I stitched around the panels, then added some seam binding and a couple of buttons from my stash to finish my card.

Here is a close-up:

Fancy A Chat?

Hi there!  Happy Wednesday!  We're halfway to the weekend!  Hope you've had a good week so far!  I am popping in this afternoon to share the card I made for the Laptop Baby Contest on Mo Manning's Facebook page.  The contest is to come up with a sentiment for Mo's adorable new image, Laptop Baby.  Mo is generously offering her as a freebie for 24 hours and then I'm sure she will be in Mo's store here.  I couldn't wait to use her so I got right to it!

Here is my card:

I used Almost Amethyst cardstock and patterned papers from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6x6 pad.  I printed Laptop Baby twice, once on Copic X-Press It and once on patterned paper from the same pad.  I colored all but the laptop and mouse with my Copics and then paper-pieced the laptop from the extra image  I added Stickles to her skirt and used my Black Spica pen for the cord. My fun sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Fine Furnishings Additions.  I thought it was perfect for this little cutie!  A triple loop satin bow, a button and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

My card is also for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #167 and Digital Tuesday #173 (child's play).

Here is SSW-167:

Thanks for stopping by!  I have a busy afternoon, but I hope to come visit your blogs tonight!
