Wednesday At Heatfelt Creations

Good morning!  It's Wednesday and time for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team to share new projects with you!  The team has outdone themselves once again this week!  Be sure to check out their gorgeous creations on the Heartfelt Creations blog

Here is a project of mine that was shared today:

Briefly, I started with an A6-sized card base of SU Basic Black and layered with patterned paper from the  Basic Grey Cappella collection.  I stamped the scroll and sentiment from HCPC 3401 Bella Rose Scroll with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White Iridescent.  I also stamped the largest rose from HCPC 3394 Classic Bella Rose onto Cryogen White. All images were colored with Copic markers.  The extra rose was cut out with HCD 712 Bella Rose Die.  The scroll image was cut out with scissors. I sponged around the main image with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The extra rose was popped up on foam tape and the whole image was popped up on the card base.  I cut out the post with a Spellbinders Elegant Post die and popped it up on tiny foam squares. A suede ribbon bow and a rhinestone flourish finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I am still struggling with my computer issues.  We are on day six and they are still trying to recover my files and programs.  No luck so far.  And to add injury to insult, we had a bad storm last night which knocked out my internet.  Luckily, it was back up this morning.  I'm really hating computers this week!

Have a great day and hope to see you soon!

CAS Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Hope you've had a good weekend so far! I am struggling along without my main computer!  The repair people have been working for three days to try and recover my files.  Hopefully I will get good news today.  Meanwhile I am relying on my laptop which of course doesn't have everything I need on it.

I'm dropping in this morning to share the card I made for this week's CAS Challenge (CA0626) on The Outlawz site.  It's my last week as Guest Designer for the team.  I have had so much fun designing with the wonderful CAS Challenge team this month and I am thankful for the opportunity to have joined them!

This week's challenge was a sketch challenge.  Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD heavy base weight white.  I cut a scalloped circle frame from SU Soft Sky with Spellbinders Scallop Circles Large and added a piece of patterned paper from the Basic Grey Cappella collection using a Spellbinders Classic Circles Large die.  The tag was cut with Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three.  The sentiment, from Heartfelt Creations Bella Rose Scroll set, was stamped with mellow Moss Craft ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  Everything was popped up on foam tape.  A few pearl accents made with an Apricot Paper Pen (My Paper World) finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I really appreciate your visits!  Have a wonderful Sunday!

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  I'm back from my trip and popping in quickly to share the card I made for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge (CPC062411) on The Outlawz site.  It's my last week as June Guest Designer.  I have had such a great time this month designing with the amazingly talented ladies on the CPC design team!  I will definitely be back playing in the challenges each week.

This week's theme was "anything goes".

I used Jen Del Muro's June Sketch For You To Try for my layout:

Here is my card for the challenge:

I started with a card base of GKD Heavy Base Weight White cardstock and did my layering with patterned paper from the Basic Grey Kioshi collection.  The adorable image is Soaking Up The Joy from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I printed it on Cryogen White Iridescent and colored with Copic markers. I added sparkly highlights here and there with Spica pens. I finished my simple card with a double loop satin bow made with my Bow Easy.

Thanks for stopping by!  I've had a major crash on my main computer so my posts may be a bit sparse while I work on trying to retrieve all my lost files (hopefully).  Sniff, sniff...  Word to the wise - BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP!!!

Have a great weekend!

Wednesday At Heartfelt Creations - Special Shoe Hop

Good morning!  Welcome to the Heartfelt Creations Shoe Hop!  It's a very special Wednesday at Heartfelt Creations!  We are having a blog hop where the Heartfelt Creations Design Team are featuring shoes created with some of our favorite Heartfelt Creations products!

If you arrived here from Heidi's blog, you are in the right place.  If not, you'll want to start back at the Heartfelt Creations blog so you don't miss any of the team's gorgeous creations!

Here is my shoe for the hop:

I used a wonderful shoe template found here.  I printed the shoe template onto Core'dinations Burgundy cardstock then traced the shoe front, toe and heel onto patterned paper from the Kaisercraft English Rose Collection. I also traced an additional sole onto the Burgundy CS.  All pieces were cut out with scissors.
The shoe was assembled from the pieces using the tutorial for the template. I stamped three flowers from the HCPC 3303 Posy Patch Flowers set with SU Cranberry Crisp onto patterned paper and cut them out with HCD 701 Posy Patch Die.  I stamped two leaves from HCPC 3314 Elegant Single Leaves set onto Patterned paper and cut them out with HCD 704 Perfect Petals die. The rose was created from the flowers roughly following this tutorial.  The rose was spritzed with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist.  The leaves were spritzed with Honeydew Glimmer Mist.  I finished my shoe with American Crafts velvet rick rack, some Prima Lace and a row of adhesive pearls.

Here is a card I also made this week:

All the instructions for making the card are on the Heartfelt Creations Blog today.  Briefly, I used a card base of SU Sage Shadow and patterned paper from the K & Co. Madeline 8x8 pad.  I stamped the bell from HCPC 3398 Bella Rose Wedding and colored it with Copic markers.  I stamped extra posies from HCPC 3303 Posy Patch Flowers and rosebuds from HCPC 3394 Classic Bella Rose and also colored them with Copics.  The posies were cut out with HCD 701 Posy Patch Die and the rosebuds with HCD 712 Bella Rose Die. The extra flowers were popped up.  I cut out a lace border with HCD 713 Lace Border Die and wove some satin ribbon through the diecut.  This was layered onto the patterned paper using Zip Dry Glue.  The inside was finished with a sentiment from HCPC 3404 Wedding Sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now dance on over to Cheryl's blog to see what amazing creations she has to share with you!

Have a great day!

CAS Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Hope you've had a great weekend so far!  We had strong storms last night, but have woken up to a gorgeous sunny day!  Before I head out to enjoy it, I am popping in to share the card I made for the Sunday CAS Challenge (CAS0619) on The Outlawz site.  I am having so much fun guest designing with the team this month!  This week's challenge was to make a clean and simple graduation card.

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD heavy base weight white and added a strip of striped patterned paper from the Basic Grey Black Tie collection.  I stamped the sentiments from Studio G with Memento Tuxedo Black onto the same CS and cut the panel out with a Spellbinders Classic Ovals die.  I framed it with another oval cut from GKD Red Hot.  I stamped the cap and diploma (Stampendous and Studio G, respectively) and cut them out and popped them up.  A bit of red ribbon around the diploma finished my CAS card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the fun designs from the rest of the CAS Design Team!
Enjoy your day!

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Happy Friday!  What a crazy week it's been - so glad the weekend is finally here!  I am popping in to share the card I made as Guest Designer for the Copic/Promarker Challenge (CPC061711) on The Outlawz site.  This week's challenge was to color pleats and folds.  I am also submitting my card to the Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World.  Here is the inspiration photo for the Tuesday Trigger - Rainbow Bright:

Here is my card for both challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Turquoise Sea and layered with fun striped paper from the Basic Grey Gypsy 6x6 pad.  My image is BBBFA from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I know I used this image for another challenge earlier in the week, but I thought their outfits were perfect for the Pleats & Folds challenge, so I used it again, but colored it up a little differently this time.  I used Copics for my coloring and highlighted with Spica pens.  A wrinkled ribbon bow and a puffy heart sticker finished my simple card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you again soon!  Have a fantastic weekend!

Here is one of my cards that was posted on the blog this week:

And this is the inside:

All of the instructions for creating this card are on the Heartfelt Creations blog.  Briefly, my card base is a 5 1/2 in. square of Always Artichoke.  The patterned paper is from the Prima Botanicals collection. I stamped the heart from HCPC 3402 Bella Rose Heart with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen White Iridescent.  I also stamped three extra roses from the HCPC 3394 Classic Bella Rose set.  All images were colored with Copic markers.  The extra roses were cut out with HCD 712 Bella Rose Die and layered onto the base image with foam tape. The sentiment (on outside and continuing to inside) from HCPC 3402 Bella Rose Heart was stamped with Versamark and Always Artichoke and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I added Polar White Flower Soft to the baby's breath for a little extra dimension.  A couple of pearl flourishes, some Webster's Pages lace trim and a bow made from May Arts silk ribbon finished my card.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #86 (and more)

Good morning!  I hope you had a great weekend!  We had a great time with our friends here and I sure was sad to when I had to send them off this morning.  I am already looking forward to the next time we can all get together.  Anyway, I'm dropping in to share the card I made for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #86 - "A Recipe For Friendship".  Dawn was the hostess and we were to be inspired by the following:

"A Recipe for Friendship"

Take two people with common interests,
Mix together with love and understanding,
Stir in a sense of humor and a lot of compassion,
Bake for a lifetime...
and enjoy the fruits of your labor knowing that you both have made a remarkable concoction that will last forever!

We were to create a card with a Mo's image and at least one element from this "recipe". I chose the "forever friendship" part.

My card is also for Card Positioning Systems Sketch #222 and the current Copic coloring challenge on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom, which was to color brunette hair.

Here is the CPS sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Red Hot and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Hello Luscious collection.  For the friendship recipe, I chose Mo's BBBFA - Best, Best, Best Friends Forever.  I think this is just the cutest image!  You can find it here. I colored the girlfriends with Copic markers and hihglighted here and there with Spica pens.  I made them both brunette's for Suzanne's challenge.  Some coordinating ribbon finished it off.

That's it for me for now. Thanks for dropping by and have a great day!

Wednesday At Heartfelt Creations

Good morning!  It's Wednesday and of course, that means it's time for the Hearftfelt Creations Design Team to share new creations with you!  I know I say it every week, but I truly mean it - you will be blown away by the amazing projects the team shared again this week!  If you haven't done so already, be sure to check out the Heartfelt Creations blog to see what's new.

Here is a project of mine that was shared this week:

For one of my projects, I decided to create something other than a card.  I made a candle using Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3397 Bella Rose Vintage Background set.  I cut a piece of tissue paper to fit around the candle.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black and colored it lightly with Copic markers, being careful not to tear the tissue.  The tissue was wrapped around the candle and gently heated with a heat gun until it was all adhered to the candle.  I finished it by applying adhesive rhinestones to the flower centers and Stickles to the butterfly.  I think these candles make wonderful gifts and they are so easy to make!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful day!
